What can I do with upholstery fabric?

Upholstery fabric is a thick, resistant fabric used in the manufacture of interior and exterior products. It's a thicker, heavier cotton fabric than coated fabric, making it suitable for a wide range of products: tablecloths, cushion covers, plaid...Our PPMC upholstery fabric is coated cotton for added rigidity and protection. It's available in a range of colors and patterns, so there's something for everyone!
Sewing ideas with upholstery fabric

Coated upholstery fabric, perfect for tablecloths

This clever fabric is the ideal solution for anyone wishing to create a water-resistant outdoor tablecloth. Its impermeability makes it a wise choice for protecting your table from the elements, whether for outdoor picnics, garden parties, or simply for enjoying a meal al fresco.
The advantage of this upholstery fabric lies in its ease of use. You don't need any special sewing or hemming skills. Simply measure the size of your table, add a margin of around 20 to 30 cm on each side for a nice fall, then cut cleanly with scissors. This method is both fast and efficient, allowing you to create a personalized tablecloth in no time at all.
Once you've made your waterproof tablecloth, you can rest assured that it will withstand unexpected showers or accidental splashes. It will also add a touch of elegance to your outdoor space, while protecting it at the same time.

A pouffe

Enjoy the ultimate in relaxation with a pouffe made from this coated upholstery fabric. This versatile pouf can easily be transformed into a footrest, coffee table or occasional seat, and it's simple to make.
To begin, choose the size that suits your needs. Next, cut two circles of identical diameter, corresponding to the seat and base of the pouf. At the same time, cut a rectangle of fabric equal in length to the perimeter of the circle.
Then assemble the circles and rectangle using your sewing machine. Once the seams are secure, all that's left to do is fill it with the beads or stuffing of your choice.
The result is a personalized pouf that's both aesthetically pleasing and functional, blending seamlessly into your living space. So you can relax in comfort and enjoy this satisfying DIY project.
