Step 2 : How are our fabrics chosen?
Prints selected with love.
Every year, our creative team goes to textile trade shows, such as Première Vision, to find the most beautiful prints. 100 to 150 fabrics will be selected and presented at the meeting with all the staff, a vote will be organized and only the fabrics with the most votes will be kept. The Fabric Committee will have the right to adapt the selection to offer you the widest range of designs throughout the year.
Exclusive PPMC designs.
Today, 1/3 of our designs are created by illustrators, whom we meet at trade shows. We are going to buy their designs and we will have exclusive rights to them, so you will not find them anywhere else. The designs can be recolored by our creative team to best reflect the identity of PPMC, they can also be recomposed to be adjusted to the size of our accessories. After some printing tests on fabric, they will be presented at the meeting with all the staff. The fabrics that will win the most votes will be among the 12 fabrics kept in order to propose two collections per month. The fabrics that will not be selected will be available for sale by the meter on our website and during our fabric destocking.
The origin of our fabrics
As we are committed to responsible and ethical fashion, we use organic cotton for the fabrics we dye and print. These fabrics will be manufactured by one of our partners in Lyon, Portugal or Turkey. For all our fabrics, we select those whose manufacture respects the health of employees and consumers. Today, we have managed to ensure that organic cotton represents 37% of all our fabrics. But we don't intend to stop ther.
STEP 3 : Coating, to protect the fabric
The coating is a surface treatment that will make the fabric resistant and waterproof. At PPMC, the coating is made with PVC without phthalates, for the health of all.
A small part of our fabrics will be coated in Portugal, this concerns only those that are printed on site, the other part will be coated in Laval (53).
Since summer 2022, our French partner uses a PVC plasticized with a vegetable oil to ensure the coating of our fabrics.
This new coating, which uses a product derived from agriculture in its composition, is a response to our desire to source production from renewable and responsible materials, by eliminating more than 50% of petroleum-based products in PVC and replacing it with agro-sourced products.
Step 1 - How are PPMC products born?
At Papa Pique et Maman Coud, we never tire of offering you new products.It is in Saint-Philibert, in Morbihan (56), that our products are thought by our Creation team, which is always on the lookout for novelties and listening to you, to propose articles which answer your desires and your needs.
A prototype will then be created, then presented during a meeting with all the PPMC staff to see if the product pleases, if it should be modified, etc...
If the product is validated, it will then be tested in one or two stores.
If the test is conclusive, the production can be launched, if not, the product will remain in the warmth waiting for its hour of glory or not...

Step 4: Manufacturing
We have been working with a dozen European and international partners for many years, and most of them have been with us since the creation of the brand, which represents a hundred jobs created.
Most of them are small family businesses with whom we have a close relationship. It is a real social, economic and technical partnership, which is a win/win situation, for which we commit ourselves to
- to guarantee quantities from one year to the next,
- not to negotiate downward on tariffs,
- to respect the international labor standards.
Step 5 : Quality control before distribution to our outlets
Once our partners have given life to our articles, they are sent back to our logistics platform in Ploeren, near Vannes (56).Our quality team will check all the products before sending them to our shops, while the other part will be stored on the spot, in order to be sold via our website.
