Once upon a time Papa Pique et Maman Coud

Nam Pham, Eurasian, borned in Orleans, was immersed in creativity from an early age and began making lots of small objects out of fabric, clothes, accessories and even her first bags.

It was in 1990 that Nam Pham first discovered her colorful fabric barrettes on the markets of Vendée, France, and sold them to finance her architectural studies.

When her first child was born, Nam moved to the Brittany coast and stopped architecture to devote herself fully to her passion: the creation of fabric objects.
Headbands and scrunchies created in fabrics with the sweet scent of the sea will join the barrettes.

The adventure continues as a couple on the market stalls. They loved to travel and find beautiful fabrics, Mom loved to sew and Dad loved to sell, the concept was born and the name Papa Pique et Maman Coud was found!

In 1993, the first seasonal store Papa Pique et Maman Coud was born in Quiberon, followed by stores in Carnac, Le Crouesty and Belle-Ile-en-Mer.

It was not until 1998 that the first year-round store opened in Rennes.
One thing leading to another, the team grew and the stores opened little by little, according to desires and opportunities.

Since 2005, it is possible to buy at any time and from any city, in France or abroad, thanks to our online store.

Today, the small company based in Saint-Philibert in Brittany, has 27 stores and has created 56 jobs in France and a hundred abroad thanks to its audacity and the perpetual quest for new projects driven by an enthusiastic team and followed by a loyal clientele.

Indeed, the little girls who wore our first barrettes had many children ... who, today, marvel in turn at our magical world.
Papa Pique and Mama Coud is a wonderful story that we wish to share with you for decades to come.
